Windows: One of the annoyances in Windows 8 is that the full-screen (formerly "Metro") apps can only be run, well, full-screen or snapped in a pane at the side. They don't work like Windows desktop apps. ModernMix fixes this problem, letting you run those full-screen apps in their own windows on the desktop.

The handy utility also lets you pin full-screen apps to the taskbar, essentially integrating the modern apps with your traditional desktop ones.
